Her Grace the Duchess Regina von Totenschmürz is a European noble lady who fell in love with the Working Class and has seen many revolutions. The Duchess has been doing drag in Helsinki since 2018 and is part of the collective Haus of Euphoria.
The Duchess’s performances are poetic, parodic, political, and often multilingual. In her numbers, the Duchess explores social issues through spoken word, physical comedy, and the numerous possibilities offered by objects.
She has performed in various drag show nights in Helsinki and Vantaa, and has also worked on a duo show Miss(ed) Gender(ed); What A Drag with Klaus (Anne Salmi), which premiered in Kuopio in December 2022, and performed in the Puppet House in Helsinki in February 2024 and in Caisa in June 2024.
The Duchess has an evil twin brother, the drag king Rikhard von Totenschmürz, whom you may be lucky (or not?) to meet.
